WHY DONATE TO YOUR KITCHEN TO SOUP KITCHEN ?

While the benefits of your donation are obvious to the recipients, we thought we’d take a moment to remind you of the benefits to you and your organization around supporting Your Kitchen to Soup Kitchen.
  • Social Responsibility – Your involvement will help to define your business reputation as a caring contributor.
  • Employee Pride – Satisfaction and employee morale are directly related to workplace culture. Few things empower workers more than being associated with a business that cares. It is easy to see why it is easier for responsible and caring businesses to recruit new employees or retain existing ones.
  • Relationships with Customers – Patrons favor responsible businesses. It is no surprise that socially responsible businesses often recognize increased sales and customer loyalty. Liability Protection for Food Donors

The Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act (Public Law 104-210) provides for civil and criminal liability protection except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct. *California Health and Safety Code Section 114433 “No food facility that donates food shall be subject to civil or criminal liability or penalty for violation of any laws, regulations, or ordinances…for a violation occurring after the time of donation.”
